If you don't have time for a Massage, you probably Need One!
1 Trillion Smells

'It always smells great in here!'
If you've been to my private office, or one of my on-site locations, it's a noticeable calm that comes over you when you enter the space, before you even enter the Massage Room. And the above statement is never made without a calming and relaxed smile - That truly is the power of Aromatherapy.

Bring that same 'power' to your own home, through pure essential oils and Aromatherapy diffusers.

What's an Essential Oil?

An essential oil is a concentrated liquid containing volatile aroma compounds from plants. An oil is "essential" in the sense that it contains the "essence of" the plant's fragrance.  Usually extracted by distillation, they are used for perfumes, food flavoring, and household products.

Many scents have been reproduced in laboratories, so it's important to 'read the labels' when you purchase an essential oil (it's a term used freely but not regulated).

What's an Aromatherapy Diffuser?

There are several different types. Nebulizing diffusers blow the oils through a blown glass chamber that breaks the drops of oil into microscopic particles which stay suspented in the air for a couple of hours.  A "cool mist" or "ultrasound" diffuser (the kind used in my offices) acts as a humidifier while diffusing the oils with the water vapor. There are cool fan diffusers where you put a few drops of oil on a cellulose pad and then a fan blows them into the room. You can also wear jewelry that diffuses the oils.

The benefits of using Essential Oils and Aromatherapy Diffusers

Aside from the obvious wonderful aromas you can surround yourself with, the benefits of the essential oils is also in the air. And at this time of year, when we're buying candles, plug-ins, sprays, and scented sachets, think of the chemicals that go into these products. There is minimal to no essential oils in them, having their scent recreated through chemicals. If you have a moment, here's the ingredient listing for Glade Plugins http://www.whatsinsidescjohnson.com/us/en/brands/glade/automatic-spray-refill---lavender-
and-vanilla
And when trying to find the ingredients for Yankee Candle, there were only broad statements regarding their testing and quality - no actual ingredients listed -   http://www.yankeecandle.com/customer-service/ingredients

And the dangers of candles and plugins is well documented, to say nothing of the expense, and the chemically enhanced product is going into your family's air and lungs.  Isn't it nicer to have something that not only cannot cause fires, but the actual scent can do you good?

I certainly have nothing against these two companies, and I love the smell of a nice candle. But there are alternatives that are way better for your personal space and health.

A diffuser also gives you the benefit of choice.  When you purchase a plugin, you're pretty much stuck with the very strong scent until it goes dry, or you decide to unplug it.  With a diffuser, you choose the scent, you choose the amount of time it's used, and again, the benefit of the aromatherapy is there, without having to apply it topically.  And they can put off the same ambient light as a candle. A great option to consider for your home!

Beginning December 1st 2017, I am happy to announce that I will make these products available to my clients.
